Mother’s Day Contest Winners

So many wonderful stories came in it was almost overwhelming. To everyone that submitted – Thank You!

The winning story that was picked for the Mother’s Day Makeover was submitted by Kayla. She described her family as leading a perfectly normal life until her seizures set in when she was 8 years old. She was diagnosed with Rasmussen’s Encephalitis. Life for Kayla and her family was forever changed. Kayla then goes on to describe in her letter of what her Mom does for her on a daily basis for her care as well as trying to research her condition in hopes of one day finding an answer so Kayla’s seizures stop. As Kayla writes “In addition, she tries to balance the time so my brother & dad get attention. My Mom is the BEST mom ever. She puts herself last and everyone else comes before her. I would love to see her win this contest. Although my mom is naturally beautiful, she deserves a day of beauty. I am a “Make a Wish” child but this time I would like a wish for my Mom to come true”.

Well Dreams do come True Kayla – Your Mommy gets a day of Beauty!

To continue with this Mother’s Day Makeover Contest, Connor McVay of Boca Raton Middle School submitted a story about his Mom, Cathie.
He describes how his Mom works very hard and he only sees half the month, because your work requires her to travel (she is a Delta Airlines flight attendant). His parents are divorced as well. He loves his Mom so much and he feels she could use a “break and have a nice makeover for herself”. He goes on to say “another big reason I want my Mom to win this makeover is because she just got over Breast Cancer. She fought it hard for over a year and just got rid of it because of two surgeries and a period of painful radiation treatment”. He closed his story by saying
” I ask you please consider my mom as a winner for the contest and I thank you for giving me an opportunity to try to win this special gift. I love my mom so much, and I want her to be happy and you’ve given me the opportunity to make this happen, so I thank you Locks of Inspiration”. So our Team at Salon 300 consulted and decided to donate their services one more time and give Cathie a day of beauty.

Thank you Salon 300 (Barbara Santiago, Diane DeFranco, Tanya Cross – Hair), (Liz, Tammy an Rosie – Nails), (Stacey Sossner) for supporting Locks of Inspiration!!!!
